The locking system

With these grooves traveling down the outside of the extrusion, fasteners wont be required to secure the structure.

The downside is that the tower and dynamic configuration wont be possible

Miniature models

2) Standard configuration + playing with depths

Round 2: Developed Concepts

These are my second concepts. after considering the most appropriate manufacturing process to be extrusions, my aim was to use the intricacies of some extrusions to form patterns when joined together.

I know these concept boards look the same but actually their patterned screens are different.

However other than the concept boards i also had some CAD printouts with other pattens that attracted more attention than my boards. the concept i ended up moving forward with was one of the CAD patterns (seen below).

Jigsaw Storage by Tom Seymour

I found this modular storage design during my research, its by Tom Seymour. honestly i think its a bit to obvious and literal but i think its a good example of what i am trying to do. By using a single mould i want to create a repeatable pattern, however now I'm leaning more towards designing a bookcase as opposed to a partition screen.
